Dr. Ahmed Fida chose to specialize in Family Medicine because it allows him to see his patients as complete individuals - not only a heart or a liver or a kidney. Family practice requires a physician to be an expert in all of these, and how they all interconnect with the whole person. Dr. Fida realizes every one of his patients wants to stay healthy so that they may work, take care of their families and enjoy life. In keeping with this holistic approach, Dr. Fida has a history of volunteering to help those who need a helping hand. He has assisted with earthquake cleanup efforts, helped to establish a free rural health clinic and has volunteered with a reading program for children.
After earning his medical degree from Frontier Medical College in 2005, Dr. Fida completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma Family Practice Residency program. Dr. Fida is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Fida is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and the neonatal resuscitation program. He is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi.
During his residency program, Dr. Fida conducted research on how long antibiotics should be continued in adult males with acute prostatitis as well as research on the best diagnostic test for restless leg syndrome. His publication was approved for the Oklahoma State Medical Association.
Dr. Fida joined Fauquier Health as a private practice physician with Fauquier Health Family Practice at Bealeton in August 2013, after completing his residency program.
Dr. Fida enjoys spending time with his family traveling and has a special interest in music and playing cricket.
